An immediate vacancy exists in the Office of Higher for the position of Assistant Director- Institutional Development Branch. The principal accountabilities of the position is to assist the Director General in the policy assessment, policy development and implementation of policies on quality assurance, standard and compliance in Higher and Technical Education programmes.
The position requires an energetic and well qualified national to provide leadership in the quality assurance, standard and compliance. At this time when the office is assisting private providers to establish new institutions of Higher and Technical Education, the work of the person will be critical.
The successful applicant must have a masters or higher academic qualification and have a good understanding of tertiary level education, measurement and evaluation.
Accommodation is not a condition of employment, therefore the successful applicant must be ready to commence duties before the end of June 2011.
