A Primary school in Mekeo District in Central Province is going to be without their headmaster.
Three days into the 2012 academic year, the father of eight children and husband to three wives from Eastern Highlands was killed instantly by a running vehicle at Garden Hills opposite Stop and Shop supermarket in Port Moresby yesterday morning.
Onafimo Isinke, 50, from Kiseveroka village, in Lufa district of Eastern Highlands province is a headmaster in one of the primary schools in Mekeo District of Central Province.
At around 7am yesterday, one of his wives and a daughter were crossing the road from SNS across to BSP to withdraw some money from the ATM to pay for his child’s school fees before he went to Mekeo to start the school year.
According to National Road safety Officer Frank Arua, who was at the scene, the father had already crossed the road and was standing on the side of the road waiting for his daughter and wife to follow him.
