The Food Technology stream of the Department of Applied Science at the University of Technology in Lae, Morobe Province, is offering short agricultural courses from the 19 – 21 of June.
The training is a second level of the second series of food safety courses offered. The first series was conducted in 2011 and received good commendations for its practical application of food technology.
According to the course description, the objective is to enable participants to understand and appreciate food safety and hygiene principles. It also addresses the importance of food safety in the domestic and global environment.
The course is intended for personnel in the food industry, establishments, regulatory bodies and education agencies who have completed level one of the series.
