PM hopes for a better generation through education

Port Moresby – The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea (PNG), James Marape, has hope that future generations can excel through proper education. He said this while addressing students at Hope Institute in Tari recently, according to The National.

In his address, PM Marape said education was the greatest gift he could give his people and that money could only acquire materialistic things that would perish.

Education is the greatest gift I can give to you – my people. If I give you money now, it will be used to buy material things that will perish.

Marape said the institution produced a total of 12 pioneer grade 12 students who graduated last year, with 8 continuing further studies in the tertiary institutions, and he looked forward to seeing more graduate this year.

Tari’s Hope Institute was established in 2017 as way to provide accessible education and a second chance for disadvantaged students to further their education.
