The Enga Provincial Government (EPG) has proposed to establish a university in the province.
According to a notice published by the Minister for Higher Education, Research and Technology and Sports, Mr Wesley Raminai, the provincial government is proposing to combine Enga Teachers’ College and Enga School of Nursing into a public university.
The proposed university, which will be called the Innovative University of Enga, will incorporate the amalgamated colleges as their faculties for education and nursing respectively.
The minister is also calling for the public who have anything against the proposal to lodge a formal objection within a month.
