About 200,000 students from schools across the country are sitting for their Grade 10 national examinations which started off yesterday.
For two schools in the National Capital District (NCD), Grade 10 students from Institute of Christian Academy (ICA) combined with Malolo International School (MIS) to sit for the examinations at the ICA Kennedy Estate campus.
ICA deputy principal Benz Pundu said this is the first time the schools have had their Grade 10 examinations in the school.
The requirement from the Department of Education is to have more than 15 students from private schools to be eligible to conduct the national exams in the school.
However, if it is not the case then we have to look to other schools with the same situation and come together to combine to make the numbers to sit for the Grade 10 and 12 national exams.

Mr Pundu said this is the first time for ICA to have its Grade 10 students sitting for the exams and the school is proud of the achievement.
Head of High School, Rommel Valleja, from the Malolo International School said this year the school has 10 students who are part of the second batch of Grade 10 students who are eligible to sit for the national exams.
Since the school has less than 15 students, it has to combine with ICA.
We had 14 students from ICA and 10 from Malolo International School so we combined to have 24 students who are now sitting for the national exams
