The Higher Education Sector in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Indonesia will now embark on an open and collaborative partnership following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) yesterday at the APEC House in Port Moresby.
Prime Minister James Marape announced that the Indonesian Government will now be offering scholarships to PNG students. To reciprocate, the PNG Government will also offer international scholarships to Indonesian students who wish to study in PNG.
The Indonesian Government has offered scholarships for Papua New Guinean students to go and study in Indonesia.
Our government will match this for every student secured, not only in the higher learning institutions but for technical and vocational training as well.
