Pathway to Productivity: Strenghtening TVET Curricula for Inclusive, Green and Digitally Driven Employment

Building on the success of the inaugural 2024 National Transforming TVET in PNG Forum, the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) invites all stakeholders to the Second National Forum under the theme:
“Pathways to Productivity: Strengthening TVET Curricula for Inclusive, Green and Digitally Driven Employment.”
This pivotal event will bring together TVET institutions, industry leaders, policymakers, development partners and civil society to: Translate 2024 Forum outcomes into actionable strategies for curriculum reform | Align TVET delivery with Industry 4.0, green skills and digital innovation | Foster inclusive pathways for women, youth and marginalized communities | Launch pilot modules in Construction and Agriculture-key sectors for PNG’s employment growth.
- Interactive Sessions: Parallel workshops, panels and dialogues on modernizing TVET, partnerships and sustainable employment pathways.
- Key Outputs: Draft Green Skills Framework, digital credentialing tools and industry-TVET compact models. Networking: Engage with regional experts, employers and innovators.
TVET educators, industry representatives, policymakers, development partners and advocates for skills development.
Experts within PNG, Australia, Philippines and elsewhere have been invited to participate in this forum.
