Applications Open Now for 2026
The Education Subsidy Program for beneficiaries of the Petroleum Resources trustees is now open. The program provides tuition subsidies to students from petroleum-affected areas. Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) oversees the program, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process in accordance with Board-approved policies and regulations.Â
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a direct beneficiary (as defined by project MoAs/Tribe of Origin/ILG or Clan).Â
- Complete Grade 12 with a GPA of 2.5 or above for undergraduate programs.
- Submit a fully completed application form before the closing date.Â
- Answer short answer questions (assessed).Â
- Obtain endorsement from recognized endorsers.Â
- Be an existing student or accepted to a DHERST-sanctioned tertiary institution.Â
- Attach a copy of the offer letter, fee structure, and other supporting documents.Â
- For technical trades and vocational training, have a minimum entry-level qualification.Â
Note: Hard copies will be delivered to project impact communities and ensure all e-copies are in PDF format and emailed to the address provided below.Â
