Teachers and nursing colleges in Papua New Guinea (PNG) have the opportunity to apply for Institutional Development Grants (IDG) up to K150,000.00 from Australia Awards.
The funds which can be used to support and enhance learning and teaching resources, student welfare and experience and facilities and support. However, it is a requirement that institutions applying for the grant have to be registered with the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST).
Applications are open until midnight May 31, 2026 and can be done via an online application portal https://australiaawardspng.smartygrants.com.au/idg2026 and more information can be obtained on the Australia Awards PNG website.
