All Institutes of Higher Education (IHE) will continue operations as per their respective calendar. This was made known in a press release by the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) on Thursday March 18, 2020.
In the release, DHERST Secretary, Jan Czuba, revealed that the academic calendar changes done recently only applied to the lower levels (primary and secondary) and does not include tertiary. However, the secretary also included a list of measures that had to be taken.
Czuba also urged everyone to take precautionary measures during these trying times.

Meanwhile the University of Goroka and the University of Natural Resources in East New Britain (ENB) have suspended classes after finding positive cases on campus.
