53rd Graduation Ceremony Postponed to 2022

The Papua New Guinea University of Technology management wishes to notify students, parents, sponsors and stakeholders that this year’s 53rd Graduation for the University is postponed to Thursday, 8th April 2022.

The management of the university reached this decision after careful consideration of the current rapid increase in the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the country.

It is also in compliance with the Morobe Provincial Government ban on hosting of graduations, and the current control measures of having no more than 20 people at a gathering.

Most of the graduating students have already been awarded their degrees in soft copies or hard copies already. The Graduation will mainly be for ceremonial purposes hence it can be postponed.

The management has considered a virtual graduation however, it would rob the graduates of the experience and opportunity for a ‘real-time’ or ‘face-to-face’ graduation.

The management regrets this inconvenience however it is beyond our control.
