EHP schools urged to submit reports electronically

Mr Wesley Albert

Eastern Highlands education director Wesley Albert has urged the schools in Goroka to submit their reports through email and via their WhatsApp group until normalcy returns.

He said the provincial education board would treat each school according to their own circumstances.

Many of our students and teachers are homeless and the schools were unnecessarily suspended because of fear and anxiety.

As a result, the education of our children in schools is grossly compromised.

However, the safety of our teachers and students must be protected during this time of uncertainty.

Mr Albert

He also urged teachers and students to be safety conscious as well.

The schools have been disturbed again this year when the recent national election started in May.

More so were those in Goroka town during the counting period and this uncertain period after the death of the late Kiniafa, which was followed by the dawn raid on Nagamuifa village while the police have intensified their presence to restore normalcy.
