Call for Expression of Interest on Research Grant Funding on Climate Change

The Climate Change and Development Authority (CCDA) in partnership with the Government of Australia is calling for Expression of Interest (EOI) applications for Climate Change Research Funding. The call for EOI is now extended to 24th November 2023 for applications to be submitted.

Who can apply?

  • Citizen or permanent resident of Papua New Guinea (PNG).
  • Must be enrolled at a PNG University at the master’s level and PhD.
  • Researchers and professions, higher learning institutions, universities, research institutes in PNG engaged in climate change research and advocacy.

Key requirements:

  • Research proposal must be approved by a supervisor and proof provided.
  • Proposed field of research must be conducted for a master’s thesis dissertation and must take place in PNG

Two Categories of funding:

  • Student category
  • Open category

Research Focus Areas:

  • Climate science.
  • Climate change and adaptation resilience.
  • Mitigation and policy.
  • Health and climate change.
  • Social and behavioral aspects.

Duration of Program:

  • 12 Months

  2. Download and complete the application form.
  3. Submit your EOI.
