There were three sessions organised on Monday, 17 March 2025. International Office Manager, Lillian Fuata said the team were able to conduct personalised sessions with the students and parents to ensure they received the information needed to study at USP.

We provided personalized attention for everyone who attended. The presence of the Vice-Chancellor added to the significance of the event and drew a good crowd. Many students also took the opportunity to engage with USP staff and inquire about specific programs and application processes.

According to Fuata, students were interested in the fee structure and were provided information on the benefits available to PNG students who intend to study at USP.

PNG students applying for degree program studies in Semester 2, 2025 – or studies in 2026 – can benefit from the exclusive 5% discount provided. USP also has a flexible fee payment system that students can utilize.

Quite a few students also showed a keen interest in our foundation programs, seeing them as vital pathways to our various degree courses. They were especially keen to find out how these programs could get them into specialized studies in Engineering, Law, and Business – areas that are in high demand in Papua New Guinea and the wider region.

Fuata said parents had also expressed their gratitude to the USP team for conducting the in-country information sessions.

Parents were thankful that USP provided their children with viable options for studying abroad and receiving quality education.
