Port Moresby South students attending the Kumul Training Institution received K42,000 from the NCDC TVET scholarship program during their graduation last Friday.
NCDC TVET coordinator Rose Agua, presented the cheque to Kumul Training Institute director and CEO Max Kuri.
She encouraged the students to learn more in order to move on in life and shared her experience of life’s challenge.
Ms Agua congratulated the 206 students who graduated last week.
This is just one of the steps, you started and don’t give up; you have to start small and move on; it is you who is going to make this difference and not anyone else.
You will hear criticisms, negativity and you will face a lot of challenges but never give up, you must believe in yourself.
She said the other half of the support will be paid after the member for Moresby South and NCD governor are in office.
Ruth Maima, a student who graduated in the course of mobile crane operator expressed how grateful she was to be graduating from KTI.
She also thanked NCDC for their support to the students.
We learn skills in both theory and practical. I further encourage other students to apply.
