A Honk Kong based company, Kawari Fortune Resources, has sponsored two students from Ialibu in the Southern Highlands to study in China.
Richard Apurel (20) and Ezekial Joseph (19) are the first two sponsored under the company’s scholarship program. They received their visas from the Chinese Embassy on Friday.
The duo will spend the first year learning Mandarin and Chinese culture at Jinan University before a further three year study in fields of their choosing.
