The Swire Conservation Scholarships for 2013

Conservation science and sustainable managementThe Swire Conservation Scholarships is a program aimed at strengthening the capacity in conservations sciences and to enable long term sustainable management of our tropical rainforests.

The scholarship is funded by the Swire Educational Trust was established in collaboration by John Swire & Sons Pty Ltd, Steamships Trading Company, Smithsonian Global Earth Observatories/Centre for Tropical Forest Science (SIGEO-CTFS), and the Binatang Research Centre.

The program is based on academic merits and open to all Papua New Guinea citizens who have completed (by end of 2012) undergraduate studies in biological sciences related to conservation or forest science.  The applicants must also show a commitment to conservation and long-term sustainable management.
