Officer in Charge of Idubada Police Station, Toby Kauke
Three armed men entered the school administration at around 4pm last Tuesday and held the staff at gunpoint while one of them made his way to the bursar’s office and accessed cash amounting to K80, 000.
Mr Kauke said he was in the deputy principal’s office when this happened.
At around 4pm, four prime suspects pulled into the school administration car park in a Toyota Mark II.
I went to see the deputy principal and unfortunately got into this.
Immediately after they left, I radioed the operations and they managed to find the vehicle which was parked at Hanuabada.
However, the suspects had a planned get-away from there and managed to continue the escape.
He said investigation into the matter was currently underway; however, the suspects are still at large.
He added that the incident happened a day after a large sum of money was withdrawn from the bank to reimburse students’ over payments as well as paying service providers, and meeting other expenses involved at the end of the academic year.
