Non-government organizations (NGOs) are using institutions to protest against the government.
Maprik MP Gabriel Kapris said the NGOs were using institutions like the Kaindi Teachers’ College in Wewak to push their agendas on the public.
He said they were using the people’s ignorance by feeding them misleading information about the legislation passed by government. He said aspiring politicians, NGOs and critics were capitalizing on the poor understanding of the laws to confuse people.
He also said the government must carry out educational awareness on the proposed laws.
