Primary schools receive donated computers

More than 2000 students from three primary schools will now know how to use computers in the Jiwaka province.

Gramben, Kimil and Fatima primary school students have all the reasons to celebrate last Wednesday when Litehaus International gave them 16 new computers and a projector each at Kimil primary school.

School head teacher James Kispe speaking on behalf of the other schools, thanked Litehaus International for making their dream of having computers in the school come true.

Mr Kispe said they have had meetings to buy computers for the school but they could not because of finance.

He said the government is introducing policies that in future all schools in the country will have paperless teaching.

He said they want to meet that demand but they do not have enough money to buy computers for students and teachers.

Mr Kispe thanked the organization for selecting these three schools.

He said Jiwaka is a new province and it needs such help to boost education.

He said the 48 new computers with a projector each to three primary schools is a great relief.

We agreed board and parents and citizenship meeting to buy computers but the school subsidy that we get is not enough, we are fortunate to get these computers and I thank Litehaus International for the donations.

Mr James Kispe

He said that they will make good use of it and students for the first time in their life will use computers.

He urged local communities in five wards to look after the teachers including the school properties.

Whoever break and enters into these three schools to steal the computers will be cursed.

Mr Kispe

The presentation was witnessed by students and parents.
