Students in vulgar Tiktok video to be disciplined

Mr Keith Tangui

The students involved in a TikTok video that fueled controversy in Morobe province will be terminated.

Morobe provincial education adviser Keith Tangui instructed the head teacher and the school board of management to set precedence and terminate the students involved in the video.

The Huonville Primary School head teacher refused to comment on the incident and the approach the school will take as disciplinary action regarding the incident. He said the matter is under police investigation and he will not comment.

Such behavior from students is not tolerated.

Mr Tangui

Students have gone deeper into using all these kind of apps in the phones which is hard to control.

The use of mobile phones should be regulated in schools to prevent such out of the ordinary issues to come about.

Despite being useful to the students, I will ask the teachers to regulate the use of mobile phones in schools to censor and control such activities from ever happening again in the province.

Both the governor and the police metro command have demanded the school deal with the students immediately.

The students were identified and the head teacher and the board of management of Huonville Primary School were instructed to terminate the students because the impression by the video was unaccepted by everyone in the province because that action tarnishes the name of the school and the province.

This gives a bad impression for the family because the assumption is that the families of the students involved have never disciplined the child at home when they were growing up.

They have not received any discipline and these are the kind of students that cause a lot of friction in the schools and many of the school fights erupt because of this kind of mischievous behavior.

These students need to be singled out and disciplined.
