In commemorating the World Handwashing Day last Friday, WaSH project under World Vision has supported Garam primary school with a new health facility.
The new toilet facility is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs Australia under Water for Women.
Parents, teachers and district representatives thanked the WaSH project for choosing the school as one of their project sites as the facility was a need for the school.
School chairman George Rifi thanked the WaSH project and said the school will take the initiative into putting up a fence around the facility.
This project was a big need for the school that we could not build due to financial reasons and for WaSH project under World Vision to step in and assist the school is something that we are really grateful for because it has lift us off a burden.
We are humble and proud that we were selected amongst other schools to receive such facility and we will do our best to take ownership and look after the facility.
