Schools in Morobe Province from lower to upper primary, tertiary institutions including vocational and TVET schools are set to receive one hundred percent (100%) support of school fees says Morobe Governor Luther Wenge today in an interview with this newsroom.
He says it was one of his policy during his campaign and he will make sure that when the provincial budget is handed down at the end of November this year, the 100% support of school fee will be encompassed in the budget.
Governor Wenge assures this newsroom that the full support of school fees includes all students in Morobe whether they are from the Highlands or other part of the region, something they have trouble in the past with.
He says unlike the Morobe Government Scholarship Program where only tertiary students, from Morobe Province are eligible for.
He says this time, it will be different, where students from other parts of the country, who are attending schools in Morobe Province will benefit from.
Governor Wenge says as long as Morobe students live in Morobe despite where they come from and as long as they contribute in paying tax in this province, they are eligible to get the full 100% scholarship.
