Tearful farewell for Grade 12 students

It was a tearful and sad end for the Grade 12 students from Grace Memorial Secondary School in Wau after the completion of their national examinations last Friday.

The 155 students clapped their hands and thanked the invigilator Noah Barn and the two local teachers Ezekiel Rani and Victor Kia for supervising their examinations over the past week.

The students walked out of the examination hall after the completion of the national examinations at 1.10pm and were farewelled by their junior students who rubbed mud on their bodies to congratulate them on the completion of their examinations.

The students hugged and cried for the friendships that that had forged during their school years before they boarded the hired trucks and returned to their respective homes.

The parents turned up in numbers and waited for their children to complete their examinations and assisted them carry their cargoes and returned home.

The school hired the PMV trucks and students from Lae, Mumeng and Watut were driven home. The national examination papers were also transported to Lae by road under heavy security escort with principal Zukua Koito.

Mr Koito thanked all the teachers for working tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that there were no disruptions to the academic year until the final examinations.

I express my word of appreciation and thanks to the invigilator Mr Barn from Menyamya Secondary School for taking charge of the grade twelve examinations.

I also thank the two local teachers Mr Rani and Kia for assisting the invigilator to complete the national examination successfully.

Mr Koito

He also extended his word of thanks to the parents and the community for their support to the school this year.
