The David Simon Nelson (DSN) Leadership & Management Scholarship Program is an initiative of the Business & Professional Women (BPW) Club of Port Moresby that honors the legacy of the late David Simon Nelson, a visionary Papua New Guinean whose commitment in empowering women an girls through Education ensured his daughters had not only equal but the very best opportunity to education. Daughters who have played key roles in the BPW Club of Port Moresby, in contributing back to the club’s vision of providing education support toward women and girls in PNG.
The goal of the BPW DSN Scholarship is to provide three (3) Papua New Guinean females with opportunities to assume leadership and management roles through Postgraduate Masters programs. The scholarship also intends to enable graduates to:
- study in areas which will enable them to contribute to/and impact change in their respective fields;
- participate in management, leadership and professional networking opportunities at the local, regional and national level, and;
- make a commitment to the BPW alumni network.
